Czech citizens are eligible for both an electronic visa (eVisa) and a regular visa, depending on your travel needs.
Electronic Visa (eVisa)
It’s very easy to obtain since you can apply from your home via the Internet and you don’t need to visit any consulate or visa center. However, you can apply as early as 86 days before your departure, and the maximum stay allowed is 30 days.
You’ll receive the visa via email as a PDF file, which you can print on A4 paper or keep on your mobile device. This visa type allows entry for tourism, business, or humanitarian reasons. You won’t need hotel reservations or an invitation letter. The only requirement is travel insurance accepted by Russian authorities.

Note: The unified e-visa entitles you to enter the Russian Federation and stay for private or business visits, tourism, as well as for participating in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, and sporting events or relevant exchanges. If your purpose of travel doesn’t fit these categories, you’ll need a regular visa.
Regular Visa
The regular visa covers various purposes such as tourism, business, private visits, study, work, or transit.
This visa must be requested at a Russian consulate or visa center in your country, no later than 90 days before your planned trip. Unlike the eVisa, this visa is physically attached to your passport and requires an invitation or visa support letter.
