I always calculate about 1,000 rubles per person per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/russiable.com\/where-change-dollars-rubles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">exchange rubles<\/a> before going on a trip with online services such as <a href=\"https:\/\/russiable.com\/travelex\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Travelex<\/a>&nbsp;(they send the rubles by mail to your address) or you can also make the currency exchange when you arrive in Russia through a bank or through an ATM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For all other expenses (accommodation, museum tickets, opera, theater, circus, shops or public transport) I always <strong>recommend<\/strong> <strong>using your bank card<\/strong> since both Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted in Russia and apply a good exchange rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11695\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rusalia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Tarjeta-Revolut-en-Rusia-300x189.png\" alt=\"Revolut card in Russia\" width=\"300\" height=\"189\">The card that I use to pay in Russia and that applies the best exchange rate is the <a href=\"https:\/\/russiable.com\/revolut\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Revolut prepaid card<\/a>. This card uses the real exchange rate in more than 150 currencies (including the ruble) and there are no hidden fees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This card allows to withdraw at ATMs in Russia up to about 15,000 rubles a month without commissions. You can recharge this card in many ways: with your bank card, by bank transfer, with Apple Pay, with PayPal, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition, you can obtain a Revolut card through this <a href=\"https:\/\/russiable.com\/revolut\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a>, by entering your phone number. They ship worldwide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My recommendation<\/strong>: take at least two cards to Russia, your bank card and the Revolut card.
